MS SQL Database Administrator with SAP Hana

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field

Strong experience with HANA and MS-SQL databases.

2 - 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on HANA and MS-SQL..

Proficiency in RDBMS management and administration.

Knowledge of backup, recovery, and decommissioning processes.

Experience in incident management and database performance optimisation in a 24x7 environment.

Experience managing database outages and coordinating effective recovery.

Familiarity with alert monitoring and performance optimisation.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 support environment.

Effective communication skills for incident and service request management.

Prior experience in 24x7 operational support.

Job Responsibilities:

Address and resolve database incidents promptly to minimise downtime.

Monitor events, handle alerts, and manage database outages to restore services quickly.

Process service requests for database changes and enhancements.

Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring database issues.

Support the implementation of standard and custom database builds.

Provide operational support for HANA and MS-SQL databases.

Ensure adherence to backup and recovery processes.

Optimize database performance and manage alert monitoring.

Decommission systems/servers following proper protocols as needed.
