Job Description

Data Centre Engineer (1-Year Contract, Renewable)

  • Salary: $4,000 – $5,000

  • Monday to Friday, 12.00pm – 9.00pm

  • Weekend overtime may be required when necessary

    • Kim Chuan Telecommunications Complex

    • Serangoon North, Singapore

Join a global data centre support environment and be part of a critical infrastructure team supporting enterprise-level operations across multiple data centre sites in Singapore. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with hands-on data centre experience who enjoy working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments with exposure to infrastructure operations, hardware implementation, and data centre management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day data centre operations across assigned sites

  • Handle change control management, incident resolution, and service requests within SLA

  • Perform hardware installations, decommissioning, patching, rack and stack activities

  • Support structured cabling and network hardware implementation

  • Supervise third-party vendors within the data centre environment

  • Maintain accurate documentation, inventories, and asset tracking records

  • Support data centre maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure projects

  • Perform basic server configuration including IDRAC and ILO

  • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and operational procedures

  • Work closely with facilities providers to support efficient data centre operations

  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate faults when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Data Centre Engineer or similar infrastructure support role

  • Hands-on experience in data centre operations and high-risk environments is essential

  • Basic understanding of infrastructure technologies and networking concepts

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or ticketing systems is an advantage

  • Knowledge of DCIM tools and standards is preferred

  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in MS Office and service delivery applications
