Job Description

Job Summary

We are a leading IT distribution company seeking a driven and detail-oriented Account Manager to support and grow our retail business. The role will manage key superstores and IT independent retailers, focusing on relationship building, sales performance, inventory monitoring, and achieving assigned sales targets.

This position is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of experience in sales, account management, or retail operations within the IT or consumer electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities

Account & Relationship Management

  • Build strong working relationships with buyers, store managers, and store-in-charge teams
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned retail accounts

Sales & Performance Management

  • Drive sales growth and work towards monthly sales targets
  • Analyze sell-in and sell-out performance to identify growth opportunities
  • Support promotional activities, product launches, and in-store initiatives

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze sales data using Excel to track performance and trends
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries
  • Use tools such as VLOOKUP (or equivalent Excel functions) to manage and interpret data

Inventory & Stock Monitoring

  • Monitor retailer inventory levels to ensure healthy stock availability
  • Identify slow-moving or ageing stock and propose action plans
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support replenishment and stock optimization

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with internal product manager, marketing, logistics, and operations teams
  • Ensure smooth execution of orders, deliveries, and promotions

Requirements

Experience & Education

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in account management, sales, or retail operations
  • Experience in IT distribution, consumer electronics, or retail sales is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of VLOOKUP is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
  • Able to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
