Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry best practices.

• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to define automation strategy.

• Perform automated regression, functional, and performance testing.

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or ServiceNow.

• Ensure test coverage, reliability, and continuous improvement in automation processes.

• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production and test failures.

• Mentor junior QA/automation engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing / Automation Engineering.

• Strong hands-on expertise in tools such as:

  • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium

• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages:

  • Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#

• Experience with API testing tools:

  • REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI

• Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools:

  • JIRA, TestRail, ALM

• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools:

  • Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes

• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).

• ISTQB certification is a plus.
