Senior ServiceNow Solution Architect(1year Contract) GM

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

• Own and govern end-to-end ServiceNow solution architecture for large-scale, mission-critical implementations, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Whole-of-Government standards.
• Lead the translation of business, operational, security, and non-functional requirements into robust ServiceNow architectural designs.
• Define and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints across business, information, application, integration, and technology domains.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, design principles, and reusable reference patterns across programmes and vendors.

ServiceNow Platform & Module Architecture

• Architect ServiceNow solutions across:
• PSDS (CSM), ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD and Custom Applications.
• Ensure strong alignment between business processes and ICT systems, with a particular focus on PSDS (CSM)-driven service delivery and case management workflows.
• Provide architectural oversight for advanced configuration including workflows, Flow Designer, business rules, ACLs, data models, and role-based access.

App Engine & Custom Application Architecture

• Lead App Engine development using secure-by-default templates, UI Builder / Now Experience, and data-tier patterns.
• Ensure best practices in custom scripting (Glide, JavaScript, etc.), API development, and ServiceNow integration hub.
• Lead design sessions for creating new integrations and automation using Flow Designer, Orchestration, and other ServiceNow capabilities.
• Apply Figma/Wireframe-led design for UX flows; translate designs into stories and acceptance criteria.
• Use Automate Pro or equivalent for high-volume regression and portal validations as appropriate.

Integration & Technology Architecture

• Define integration architectures between ServiceNow and external systems, including government platforms, identity services, legacy systems, and data hubs.
• Design secure and scalable integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven and asynchronous patterns, ensuring data integrity and operational resilience.
• Govern integration standards, error handling, monitoring, and performance across the ecosystem.

Governance, Risk & Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide architectural leadership throughout the SDLC, including design reviews, configuration and code reviews, and compliance assessments.
• Conduct architectural trade-off analysis and risk assessments, ensuring solutions meet security, data governance, performance, availability, and audit requirements expected in public sector environments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear architectural recommendations and decision support.
• Mentor solution architects, technical leads, and development teams to uplift architectural maturity and delivery quality.
  Experience & Skills Required

Architecture & Delivery Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field..
• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect / Technical Architect / Senior Technical Lead, owning complex enterprise solutions.
• Strong end-to-end delivery experience across large-scale or public sector programs.
• Proven ability to evaluate, select, and govern technologies aligned to enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, and legacy modernization strategies.
  
  

ServiceNow Expertise

• Deep, hands-on ServiceNow architecture experience, including:
• PSDS (Customer Service Management – CSM) implementations at scale
• ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD and CSM
• ServiceNow App Engine for custom enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, constraints, and upgrade considerations.

Application & Integration Architecture

• Strong experience designing enterprise applications using .NET and/or J2EE, with solid data modelling and SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of server-side Java and/or .NET, SOA / microservices architectures, and public-facing digital services.
• Strong expertise in integration architecture, APIs, secure data exchange, and system interoperability.
