Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

As an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end architecture design for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure solutions.

  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable OCI architectures.

  • Design and implement core OCI services, including:

    • Compute, Networking (VCN, DRG, Load Balancers)

    • Object & Block Storage

    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

    • Autonomous Database and Exadata Cloud Service

    • Kubernetes (OKE) and container-based architectures

  • Architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions integrating OCI with on-premise and other cloud platforms.

  • Drive migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor) from legacy systems to OCI.

  • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

  • Ensure cloud security, governance, compliance, and cost optimization best practices.

  • Provide technical leadership during pre-sales, solutioning, and client workshops.

  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to OCI capability development within IBM Consulting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across IBM Cloud, Red Hat, and data/AI practices.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 8+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • OCI networking, IAM, and security architecture

    • Cloud-native architecture patterns

    • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

    • Linux/Unix systems administration

  • Experience with enterprise-grade migration and modernization projects.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and architecture discussions.
