Job Description

The Infrastructure Project Manager – AWS Cloud is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex cloud and infrastructure transformation programs with a strong focus on AWS environments. This role combines project leadership, financial governance, stakeholder engagement, and deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture and migration strategies.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams delivering cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure optimization programs for enterprise clients.

1. Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead AWS cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects from initiation through closure

  • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)

  • Ensure alignment with client digital transformation strategies


2. AWS Cloud Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee end-to-end AWS cloud implementations, including:

    • Cloud migration (Lift & Shift, Re-platform, Re-architect)

    • Landing zone setup and governance frameworks

    • VPC design, networking, and connectivity (Direct Connect, VPN)

    • Compute, storage, database, and container services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS)

    • Cloud security and compliance controls

    • Disaster recovery and high-availability architectures

  • Ensure adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles


3. Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders and executive sponsors

  • Lead steering committee meetings and executive reporting

  • Manage expectations, risks, and change requests

  • Drive high client satisfaction and business value realization


4. Financial & Risk Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control

  • Track cloud consumption and cost optimization strategies

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans

  • Ensure compliance with contractual SLAs and governance standards


5. Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead cross-functional teams including cloud architects, DevOps engineers, security specialists, and application teams

  • Coordinate with AWS and third-party vendors when required

  • Foster a collaborative, performance-driven environment


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline

  • 7+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects

  • 3+ years of experience delivering AWS cloud transformation programs

  • Strong understanding of AWS architecture, services, and cloud migration methodologies

  • Experience managing enterprise-scale cloud environments

  • Strong financial management and governance experience

  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
