Job Description

Are you an experienced Banking Operations leader ready to take ownership of a high-performing team and drive innovation in payments processing?

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, risk and control governance, digitalisation initiatives, and people development within a large-scale wholesale banking environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a high standard of operational risk management to protect both customer and organisational interests
  • Manage key risk indicators and ensure timely escalation of issues to senior management where required
  • Investigate discrepancies, exceptions and non-compliance and drive corrective actions
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient, accurate and timely delivery of products and services in accordance with SLAs, KPIs and approved SOPs
  • Represent the team in management, governance and stakeholder meetings
  • Build, lead and sustain a high-performance and motivated team
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and service quality
  • Lead automation, straight-through processing (STP) and digitalisation initiatives
  • Lead and participate in projects and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of experience in wholesale banking operations, with strong exposure to Corporate Internet Banking and eServices setup and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale banking products, processes, risks and operational controls
  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, controls, information security, and regulatory requirements (e.g. MAS and international standards)
  • Proven leadership in risk management, operational controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for process re-engineering, automation, and data-driven transformation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A leader who inspires confidence, drives results, and builds teams that deliver operational excellence.
