As a Senior System Engineer, you’ll be deployed onsite at a local bank, supporting server infrastructure and data centre operations.
You’ll handle installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and virtualised environments, with more ownership across complex issues and projects.
This is a 12-month contract role (renewable)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Provide onsite support for server and infrastructure environments
• Install, configure, and maintain servers and related systems
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and system issues in data centres
• Support virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware) and Microsoft systems
• Perform server upgrades, decommissioning, and patching activities
• Handle cabling, KVM setup, and data centre operations
• Support infrastructure projects and BAU operations
• Work closely with client teams on escalations and technical issues

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU

• 5 years of experience in system / infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with servers (HP, Dell)
• Good knowledge of Windows Server and VMware environments
• Experience in troubleshooting and supporting production systems
• Comfortable working onsite in client environment

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

• Experience in banking or regulated environments
• Exposure to Linux (e.g. Red Hat), automation, or enterprise tools
• Ability to handle complex incidents and work independently
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders
• Chinese proficiency for internal & external stakeholder communication
