Firmware Validation Engineer (SSD Testing)

The client is the world leading semiconductor company from USA. It is ranked as one of the “Top Best Places to Work in Singapore”. Below position is open urgently.

Employment Type: 12 months contract

Location: Bendemeer

Working Hour: Regular Office Hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute functional tests on SSDs (automated and manual).
• Perform initial failure analysis and collaborate with Validation Engineers to resolve test issues.
• Modify functional test scripts to improve and expand test coverage.
• Debug and evaluate failures with Firmware Engineers to drive resolutions.
• Set up validation environments, including systems, tools, and servers.
• Compile test results and prepare reports for continuous firmware health monitoring.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Basic working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux platforms.
• Hands-on experience in PC/server setup and debugging is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and/or basic signal and power measurement tools preferred.
• Experience working with PCIe/NVMe analyzers and mixed-signal oscilloscopes is an added plus.
• Comfortable working in an ESD-protected lab environment.
