We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to spearhead themodernization and delivery of applications built on PowerBuilder and Sybase.In this role, you will act as the critical technical bridge between our clientsand our offshore development centers, ensuring that complex requirements aretranslated into high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Liaison: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the customer. Translate business requirements into robust technical specifications and act as the bridge to the offshore delivery team.
• Solution Design: Lead technical assessments of existing PowerBuilder applications and Sybase environments. Collaborate with offshore architects to finalize end-to-end solutions and ensure technical feasibility.
• Delivery Oversight: Provide hands-on guidance to the offshore team throughout the SDLC. Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the project meets client quality standards.
• Deployment & Infrastructure: Manage application deployment cycles and provide support for cloud infrastructure environments, ensuring stability and performance.

Technical Qualifications

• PowerBuilder: Extensive experience in developing and maintaining enterprise applications using PowerBuilder (versions 12.x through 2022 preferred).
• Sybase ASE: Expert-level knowledge of Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and experience supporting application migration or deployment in cloud environments.
• Architecture: Strong understanding of client-server architecture and modernizing legacy systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) IT services sector.
• Knowledge of modernizing PowerBuilder apps via REST APIs or C# Web APIs.
• Experience with government or large-scale enterprise delivery frameworks.
