Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable, secure, and high-availability systems.
Provide technical leadership to engineering teams: guide system decisions, review code, and uphold engineering standards
Mentor and coach engineers across levels, fostering growth and improving team capability.
Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including cloud-native architecture, CI/CD automation, IaC, and observability.
Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and long-term platform risks.
Ensure systems meet best practices for security, reliability, maintainability, and compliance.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering complex systems at scale.
Proven experience in technical leadership, system architecture, and guiding engineering teams.
Strong proficiency in backend or full-stack development using languages like Java, Go, or Node.js.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, API design, and event-driven architectures.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, data modelling, caching, and performance tuning.
Well-versed in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production operations.
Excellent communication skills and ability to align stakeholders on technical decisions.
Passion for engineering excellence, clean architecture, and building solutions for impact.
