Software Engineer / Technical Lead

Eucharist-Tech Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based software company building a Java platform used to design and operate complex enterprise business applications.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead (Java) to lead the design and development of highly scalable businessapplications.

This role is ideal for a hands-on software engineer who enjoys programming, architecting, mentoring engineers, and building robust systems. We value engineers who are pragmatic, collaborative, and interested in improving systems over time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continued development and maintenance of the platform
• Identify critical areas for improvement and to collaborate with management to appropriately position the software platform in the market
• Take on complex programming and design
• Drive technical decisions, generate new ideas and establish best practices
• Mentor engineers and lead code reviews
• Ensure high code quality, scalability, and performance
• Support in-house and external customers in both development and production environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong experience in programming especially in Java, software architecture and system design
• Experience with designing microservices, APIs, distributed systems
• Experience with UI frameworks/libraries (e.g. Swing, SWT)
• Proficiency in application frameworks such as Spring / JakartaEE
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience with Netbeans Platform / Eclipse Platform
• Experience with MQ protocols
• Experience with XML databases

Salary Range

SGD $6,500 – $9,500 per month

Salary will be commensurate with experience and scope of responsibilities.
