Job Summary
The successful individual in this position is responsible for providing technical support for installations, preventive maintenance, relocation, troubleshooting and resolving product performance problems. He/she supports customers primarily in Singapore and Brunei. Occasional overseas travel will be required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical support during installations to ensure successful deployment of products and provide basic operation training to customers
- Execute preventive maintenance activities to sustain optimal product performance and minimize downtime
- Manage equipment relocation processes to maintain operational continuity and ensure customer satisfaction
- Diagnose and resolve product performance issues promptly to reduce impact on customer operations
- Respond effectively to technical inquiries and service requests from customers in Singapore and Brunei
- Accompany sales team on customer visits and site inspections to provide technical support and enhance customer engagement
- Respond to customer queries to support the sales team in addressing technical concerns
- Prepare technical documentation, including official memos and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for customer reference
- Provide technical expertise to the sales team during product seminars and exhibitions to facilitate demonstration of product features
- Coordinate occasional overseas travel to deliver on-site technical assistance and support
- Follow up on warranty claim submissions to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant field service experience
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills demonstrated through resolving product performance issues
- Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams
