Choice One Medical is a Canadian wholesaler and distributor of Medical Supplies and Accessories. With the aim to provide high-quality medical products to our clients, the company innovates modern designs that alleviate the lifecycle of healthcare users.
We are currently looking for a passionate industrial designer/ product designer that has the eye for shape, pattern, texture, material & colour for our new product launch.
He/she will be guided by a R&D manager, supported by quality assurance specialist in Singapore & procurement specialist in China. Occasionally, working with staff located in Canada & America on the project to ask for their input.

Job scope
Design & Development: Ability to use SolidWorks as the main CAD software & KeyShot for rendering.
Collaboration & Plan: Willing to learn on some factors of engineering from others & integrate with design to come to a mid-point.
Mock-up & Present: Direct & drive fabrication with a foresight on the pros and cons of each method.
Documentation & Research: Maintain & jot-down decision made along the design process in Indesign & research on possible issues arising from each design choices.
Understanding & Resolution: Detect usage patterns or design flaws and then working on a solution.
Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Support the team with additional tasks and duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or the equivalent
1-2 years of experience in a relevant field. Fresh graduates with internship experience(s) in Manufacturing/Design/Engineering/Project Management may be considered
Knowledge in Solidworks, or an equivalent CAD software
Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Keyshot
Hands on attitude for prototyping and testing
Basic understanding of different manufacturing processes (plastics, metals, composites, foams, soft materials)
High attention to detail
Fluent in English. Mandarin is a bonus (for liaising with Mandarin speaking suppliers)

Interview Process
The interview will consist of two stages to ensure an unbiased and thoughtful evaluation of all candidates. We appreciate your patience as we review each application carefully.
Stage 1 will begin with a brief introductory call, followed by an online interview where you’ll be invited to share your past work, designs, or art direction experience.
Stage 2 will involve a mini project. You will be given a product to work on and asked to create a presentation deck demonstrating your understanding of areas such as CMF, design, usability, engineering considerations, molding, standards, QA, and related topics. You are not expected to cover every aspect in depth, as we understand candidates come from diverse backgrounds.
Following this stage, you will receive either detailed design feedback or a final update regarding your application.
