Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and tech-savvy Social Media Security Officer to monitor, protect, and respond to security threats across the organization’s social media platforms. The role focuses on safeguarding brand reputation, preventing unauthorized access, identifying online risks, and ensuring compliance with digital security policies. Key Responsibilities • Monitor official social media accounts for suspicious activities, unauthorized access, or potential security breaches • Detect, investigate, and report fake accounts, impersonation, phishing attempts, and scams targeting the organization • Respond promptly to security incidents and coordinate with internal teams (IT, Legal, PR) for mitigation • Enforce social media security policies, guidelines, and best practices • Conduct regular audits of account access, permissions, and security settings • Track and analyze online threats, misinformation, or harmful content related to the brand • Support crisis management during reputational or security incidents on social platforms • Maintain logs and reports of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes • Educate employees on social media security awareness and safe practices • Stay updated on emerging social media threats, trends, and platform policy changes
