Responsibilities

Responsible for keeping an organization’s database environments secure, stable, high-performing, and available for business-critical applications.
Able to lead the design, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise database platforms while working closely with infrastructure, applications, security, and business teams.
Manage, maintain, and support enterprise database systems in production, test, and development environments
Administer database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relevant technologies
Monitor database health, performance, storage, availability, and capacity - Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migration activities
Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, outages, and performance issues - Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to protect business data
Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and overall database performance
Ensure database security, access control, encryption, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Database Administrator at least 3 years, with experience in database design, administration, and performance tuning.
Proficiency level needed in relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
Experience with database clustering, replication, partitioning, and high-availability configurations.
Strong understanding of database security protocols, including encryption, user management, and auditing.
Expertise in backup and disaster recovery strategies, troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve database-related performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
