Responsibilities

The Test Engineer will be responsible for the following:

Manage end-to-end testing activities for an integrated electronic payment system.
Execute all phases of the testing lifecycle, including test planning and analysis of business and system requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain test cases, as well as prepare and configure test environments.
Execute test procedures and validate system functionality against defined requirements.
Develop and implement automated testing solutions using appropriate scripting or programming languages, including performance optimization.
Establish and maintain requirements traceability, identify gaps, and ensure adequate test coverage.
Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
Facilitate and participate in test reviews with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects identified during production and user acceptance testing, and address test gaps to improve overall test effectiveness.
Produce design documentation and user guides that clearly describe the test automation framework and provide instructions for testers and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in software testing and test automation, involving device-based (UI or embedded) and/or back-office systems.
Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through development, testing, and deployment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Software testing certification is preferred.
Prior experience to various testing phases such as System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing, will be an added advantage.
