Job Description

About the Team:

The Data Infrastructure OLAP Team is looking for a Backend Engineer (Milvus Engine) to maintain and enhance our Milvus-based vector database infrastructure. This role focuses on Milvus engine development, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and integration with large-scale data infrastructure.

Job Description:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Milvus engine services in production

  • Understand and work with Milvus core architecture and codebase

  • Support Milvus deployment, upgrades, monitoring, and incident response

  • Improve system stability, scalability, and performance in distributed environments

  • Collaborate with data infrastructure, OLAP, algorithm, and business teams

  • Support related big data infrastructure components, especially HBase

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Computer science or similar field

  • At least 1 year of full time backend development experience with Go/C++

  • Hands-on experience in Milvus development or maintenance is preferred

  • Strong understanding of Milvus architecture and core codebase

  • Familiarity with big data infrastructure and production data systems

  • Solid knowledge of distributed systems, including sharding, replication, fault tolerance, and resource scheduling

  • Experience with HBase, including architecture, operations, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with vector databases, search engines, OLAP engines, or distributed storage systems

  • Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native deployment, or large-scale production operations

  • Knowledge of vector indexing algorithms such as HNSW, IVF, PQ, or DiskANN
