Senior / Principal AMHS Engineer

Overview

You are to design, implement, and optimize integrated systems for Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) for VSMC development factory, ensuring seamless data exchange and operational performance.

Job Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design integrated systems that optimize workflow efficiency and facilitate seamless data exchange between departments.
• Operate and maintain daily operations of XMS (Transaction Management System) and MCS ( Material Control System), ensuring smooth and efficient system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AHMS software performance to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyse business requirements and generate detailed technical specifications for AHMS software based on the identified needs.
• Develop scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant software solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure to enhance overall system performance.
• Work closely with vendors and hardware engineers to ensure software compatibility with AHMS equipment and systems.

Requirements

• Experience with automation machines from Daifuku and Muratec.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Skilled in writing clean, maintainable code in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, HTML5, SQL, or VBA.
• Background in system infrastructure architecture is preferred, especially with experience in VMware, Linux/MS solutions, Nginx, and K8s/Docker.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT-related, electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering
• Adaptable to changing priorities and responsibilities to meet business needs
• Strong team player with the ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
