Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop logical and physical architectures for the List Management System and integrations with transaction screening platforms (e.g., Fircosoft, TSS, Actimize).

  • Define infrastructure architecture (cloud and/or on-premise), data pipelines, APIs, and integration patterns.

  • Design deployment architectures for Non-Production, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments, ensuring high availability, load balancing, and failover capabilities.

  • Document system flows, data mappings, and file transformations, ensuring traceability and operational transparency.

  • Define integration patterns (API, MQ, batch, event-driven), including error handling, logging, and security protocols (encryption, authentication, authorization).

  • Establish architectural standards, guardrails, and best practices for financial crime systems.

  • Embed regulatory, data protection, and compliance controls into system architecture, including encryption, access control, and audit trails.

  • Support risk assessments, technical dependency tracking, cost estimation, and implementation planning.

  • Collaborate with FBAs, Compliance, IT, and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment between functional requirements and technical design.

  • Contribute to architecture deliverables, including blueprints, technical standards, interface catalogs, and deployment plans.

  • Participate in architecture workshops and stakeholder reviews, presenting findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in architecture or senior technical roles, ideally within Financial Services, RegTech, or compliance technology.

  • Strong domain knowledge of AML, sanctions screening, watchlist management, and transaction screening platforms.

  • Deep expertise in system architecture, including distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and API design.

  • Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including hybrid on-premise deployments.

  • Security architecture knowledge, including encryption, identity and access management, audit logging, and data protection.

  • Hands-on experience producing architecture diagrams, interface mappings, and technical documentation.

  • Proven experience designing high-availability, disaster recovery–ready, and secure multi-country systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business and technology teams.

  • Experience in technical leadership, including mentoring engineers, driving architecture decisions, and conducting design or code reviews.

  • Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment on complex architectural decisions, and guide junior team members.

  • Cloud or architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar) are desirable.
