247 Network Engineer

Education

• Degree in technology discipline preferred
• Relevant experience in the telecommunications field may be considered in lieu of a degree

Certifications

• Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS) certification preferred
• ITIL certification preferred
• Additional Radio/IP Telephony certifications are an advantage

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting wireless telecommunications systems
• Experience working in a 24x7 operational environment with on-call responsibilities
• Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
• Experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting in-building combined antenna systems or Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
• Experience in project management
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) concepts
• Experience working in highly virtualized environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in using Nemo Handy handheld test tools and Nemo Analyzer
• Ability to interpret and analyze RF parameters
• Good working knowledge of RF/wireless system design and protocols
• Ability to read and interpret RF schematics and system block diagrams
• Ability to read and interpret building floor plans and layouts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong documentation and service management capabilities
• Ability to apply sound organizational and problem-solving skills while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Demonstrates integrity, respect, passion, teamwork, and creativity in daily work
• Physically capable of walking up at least three flights of stairs, climbing ladders, and performing tasks requiring good manual dexterity and vision
• Knowledge of using Site Master Cable and Antenna Analyzers is preferred
