Integration Engineer

Position Summary

As an Integration Engineer at Alpha X, you serve as the technical bridge between internal innovation and external application. Your primary responsibility is to architect, build, and maintain the APIs, webhooks, and middleware that enable our AI products to communicate seamlessly with third-party platforms and client infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• System Integration: Design and implement robust integrations between Alpha X’s AI platform and client systems, including ERP, CRM, cloud storage, and other SaaS platforms.
• API Development & Management: Build, optimize, and maintain high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs for AI model inference and client interactions.
• Client Onboarding & Technical Implementation: Lead technical onboarding of new clients, ensuring AI solutions are correctly configured and integrated within their environments.
• Automation, Tooling & DevOps: Develop scripts, internal tools, and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of integrations. Use IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CDK) to ensure reproducible deployments.
• Observability & Performance: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for integrations; optimize APIs and pipelines for scalability, throughput, and low latency.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure integrations follow best practices for API security, data encryption, authentication (OAuth/OpenID Connect), and compliance with privacy regulations (PDPA, GDPR).
• Event-Driven & Data Pipelines: Design and maintain asynchronous workflows using message queues or event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
• Troubleshooting & Support: Serve as the technical lead for complex integration issues, debugging data pipelines, connectivity, and API workflows.
• Collaboration: Partner with ML engineers to understand model requirements and with internal stakeholders to define the integration roadmap.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce integration guides, runbooks, and technical documentation for internal teams and clients.
• Other Duties: Undertake additional technical responsibilities to support the company’s evolving needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in system integration, API development, or solutions engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in JavaScript/Node.js or Go.
• Expert knowledge of REST, GraphQL, Webhooks, and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), including serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Proficiency in JSON/XML, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Experience in automated testing, including API and integration tests (Postman, Pytest, etc.).

Preferred / Additional

• Experience in SaaS or AI startup environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML deployment workflows and serving LLMs via API (FastAPI, TorchServe,TensorFlow Serving)
• Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Workato, n8n or Mulesoft).
• Knowledge of modern API patterns (gRPC, WebSockets, GraphQL subscriptions for real-time data)
