IT Application Lead

About the Division/Dept 
The Information Technology Division is an enabler for the Business Growth and strategy and has 3 pillars Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Application. 

Job Purpose 
The Application Lead oversees UOI’s internal application and integration landscape, ensuring systems are stable, secure, and continuously improved to support business operations. The role provides technical leadership to developers and analysts while working closely with business teams, vendors, and IT partners. 

Main Responsibilities  

• Lead day-to-day management of UOI applications, ensuring stability, quality, and timely incident resolution. 
• Oversee enhancements, fixes, and functional improvements requested by business teams. 
• Strengthen API, middleware, and integration standards to ensure consistent data flows across systems. 
• Support cloud readiness and coordinate with infra teams on deployment, security alignment, and monitoring. 
• Drive continuous improvement across release management, SIT/UAT, RCA, documentation, and audit readiness. 
• Partner with product owners, operations, and vendors to align delivery with business priorities. 
• Contribute to the uplift of Odyssey 2 and Odyssey 5 platforms. 

Requirements 

• Strong experience in application support, development, or integration. 
• Java SE OCP/OCA. 
• Hands-on expertise with Java, SQL, Progress and Red Hat/Linux environments. 
• Good understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and cloud-ready architectures. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead incident RCA and corrective actions. 
• Ability to work with vendors, coordinate changes, and manage expectations. 
• Familiarity with Odyssey 2/5. 
• DevOps tooling or automation experience. 
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, Shell). 
• Understanding of MAS-aligned IT controls and audit expectations.

• Red Hat RHCSA / RHCE 
• ITIL v4 Foundation 
• Scrum Master or Agile certification
