Sales and Technical Engineer (HVAC&R)

We are looking for a motivated and keen-to-learn Sales and Technical Engineer to drive growth in our refrigeration systems solutions.
This role is primarily business development oriented, supported by strong technical understanding to develop, propose, and explain complete refrigeration system solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, and internal teams to develop technically viable and commercially competitive refrigeration solutions. You will be involved in system conceptual design, heat load estimation, equipment selection, and preparation of technical proposals to support sales and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Support

·       Support business development activities by developing technically sound refrigeration system solutions tailored to customer requirements.

·       Engage customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to understand project needs and translate them into competitive technical proposals.

·       Prepare and support technical inputs for sales proposals, tenders, and quotations, ensuring solutions are practical, efficient, and commercially viable.

·       Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, and clarification sessions to support sales closure.

Technical Solution Development

·       Perform heat load calculations and preliminary cold room system design to support sales proposals for chiller, freezer, and refrigeration applications.

·       Propose and recommend suitable refrigeration system configurations and equipment, including compressors, condensing units, evaporators, controls, and related components.

·       Prepare technical documentation such as system descriptions, technical submittals, equipment schedules, and design summaries for customer submission.

·       Develop 2Ddrawings, basic 3D layouts, refrigeration rack concepts, and P&IDs where required to support proposed solutions.

Internal Coordination & Proposal Support

·       Coordinate with production teams on rack design feasibility, fabrication concepts, piping arrangements, and control panel requirements during the proposal and order stages.

·       Work with the R&D team to align proposed evaporator and system designs with product capabilities and development direction.

·       Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to obtain technical inputs, costing support, and lead-time information for proposals.

·       Assist with BOM preparation and cost alignment to ensure solutions meet both technical and commercial objectives.

Customer& Project Support

·       Provide technical support during customer discussions, site meetings, and technical clarifications to reinforce confidence in proposed solutions.

·       Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required, primarily to ensure customer satisfaction and future business opportunities.

·       Work closely with customers and internal teams to clarify requirements, resolve technical issues, and support smooth execution from proposal to handover.

Requirement

·       Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning, or related field

·       Experience in HVAC&R, refrigeration, cold room, or project engineering work is an advantage.

·       Basic knowledge of heat load calculation, equipment selection, and technical drawing preparation

·       Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks is an advantage

·       Able to understand and prepare technical drawings and P&ID

·       Good interpersonal and communication skills

·       Willing to learn and grow in refrigeration system design and project engineering

·       Able to work independently and as part of a team

·       Willing to attend customer meetings or site visits when required

·       Fresh graduate with passion is welcome
