About the Role
We are looking for a Pre-sales Director to work directly with clients and support business growth within Singapore large clients as well as ASEAN regional clients, focusing on FSI or Enterprise IT related enterprise-scale software, solutions, System Integration (SI), professional services, and delivery engagements.
This role is ideal for candidates with a software engineering background, with rich experience in enterprise architecture, public/hybrid cloud, customized solutions, professional service delivery, and latest AI innovations in application scenarios and software development, and a minimum of 10 years of client-facing solution architecture and pre-sales experience.
You will manage a regional pre-sales team to support sales activities within Singapore and across ASEAN countries. You and the pre-sales team will work closely with HQ product lines, solution architect teams, delivery leaders, and engineering teams to shape proposals for large, complex, multi-team software initiatives and convert opportunities into signed projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Solution Leadership
Partner with large enterprise and FSI clients in Singapore and ASEAN to understand business and technical needs, and lead the design of end-to-end solutions spanning software, cloud, SI, and professional services. - Pre-sales Team Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a regional pre-sales team, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables (proposals, SOWs, architectural blueprints, demos, and PoCs) across multiple concurrent opportunities. - Opportunity Conversion
Drive the technical close of complex, high-value deals — from initial discovery and solution shaping to proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiation support. - Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with HQ product lines, central solution architect teams, delivery leaders, and engineering to align solution capabilities with client requirements and ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery. - Innovation & AI Integration
Champion the use of AI innovations (e.g., AI-assisted development, AI-first DevOps) in application scenarios and software development, helping clients leverage modern AI capabilities within their enterprise architecture and custom solutions. - Regional Strategy & Growth
Support sales leadership in defining go-to-market strategies for ASEAN, identifying technical differentiators, and building repeatable pre-sales assets and methodologies.
Qualifications& Experience
Required:
- Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on, client-facing solution architecture and pre-sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (team lead, manager, or director).
- Technical Depth:
Strong software engineering background (design, development, deployment of enterprise software).
Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, public/hybrid cloud (HWC, Ali Cloud, Tencent Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent).
Proven experience in custom solution design, system integration (SI), and professional service delivery engagements.
Practical understanding of AI innovations and how they apply to software development and business applications.
- Domain Focus: Track record of serving large enterprise clients, preferably in FSI (banking, insurance, Payments) and/or enterprise IT sectors.
- Regional Exposure: Experience working with clients in Singapore and across ASEAN — understanding of cultural, regulatory, and business nuances.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to influence C-level stakeholders and technical teams alike.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within ASEAN as required.
Preferred:
- Experience with agile delivery models, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or PMP/PRINCE2.
- Prior experience in a system integrator, consulting firm, or enterprise software vendor.
