Network Engineer, CCNA (IT/East/4.5k/5 days)

Responsibilities:

• Active Configuration: Deploy and configure VLANs, Static/Dynamic Routing, and Link Aggregation across Cisco and non-Cisco hardware.
• ⁠Firewall Policy Management: Regularly update and audit firewall rules on Fortinet(FortiGate), Palo Alto, or Checkpoint to meet security requirements.
• ⁠VPN Support: Build and troubleshoot Site-to-Site IPsec tunnels and Client VPNs(Global Protect/FortiClient).
• Network Monitoring: Use tools (SNMP/Syslog) to identify bottlenecks or hardware failures before they impact the business.
• Vendor Interoperability: Ensure seamless traffic flow between different hardware brands (e.g., a Cisco core switch talking to a Fortinet gateway).

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Networks& Systems
• 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
• ⁠Familiarity with Cisco CLI (IOS) is required, but you must also be comfortable using Web GUIs for modern firewalls (Fortinet/Palo Alto).
• Configuration of Layer 2:STP, VTP (or manual VLAN propagation), LACP.
• Configuration of Layer 3:Inter-VLAN routing (Router-on-a-stick), basic OSPF/EIGRP
• Configuration of Security: NAT/PAT, Security Zones, and Object-based rules.
• ⁠CCNA is a must.
• Fortinet NSE 3/4 or Palo Alto PCCET/PCNSA) is a plus
