Google Cloud Platform Developer

We are looking for an experienced GCP Developer with a strong Java development background and hands-on exposure to AI or machine learning solutions. This role suits a technologist who enjoys building scalable cloud-native applications and working closely with data, AI services, and modern architectures on Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform
• Build and enhance backend services using Java and related frameworks
• Develop and integrate AI or machine learning capabilities using GCP services such as Vertex AI or prebuilt AI APIs
• Implement RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable systems
• Work with cloud services including Cloud Run, GKE, Compute Engine, and App Engine
• Integrate applications with data services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, or Cloud Storage
• Collaborate with product, data, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Support deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning in production environments
• Ensure solutions follow cloud security, scalability, and reliability best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Java development experience in enterprise or cloud-based environments
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with AI or machine learning use cases
• Strong experience working on Google Cloud Platform
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Good to Have

• Experience with Vertex AI, TensorFlow, or Python-based ML workflows
• Exposure to data engineering or analytics on BigQuery
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub
• GCP certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer)
• Experience working in agile or consulting environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
