Job Description

Job Description:

  • Good understanding of the budgeting & forecasting process.
  • Quick learner and able to understand implemented system functionality.
  • Perform impact analysis and resolve production defects.
  • Manage daily operation chores/nightly data refresh in the IBM PA project and share observations if any.
  • Fix data load failure, errors and warnings.
  • Variance analysis/ data validation on monthly or quarterly close.
  • Ensure data archival, restore and backup procedure.
  • Upgrade and apply patches for IBM PA application (on premise IBM PA on GCC Cloud).
  • Experience in cutover activities and well verse in executing the steps.
  • Experience in deployment activities post fixes and enhancement.
  • Work closely with infrastructure team for any environment issues, security, and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.

Top 3 Must have skills / Primary skills:

  • IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 Cognos.
  • Good knowledge in Finance budgeting processes.
  • Experience in application support and development work.

Technical Skills:

  • Fundamental concepts: Cube, Dimension, element and hierarchy.
  • Rules and feeders.
  • TI Process.
  • Data Type (numeric, string, consolidation).
  • PAW, PAX, Pafe, TM1 web.

PAW:

  • Creating and managing cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, and subsets directly from PAW.
  • Defining relationships, attributes, and aliases.
  • Writing and testing rules within PAW’s rule editor.
  • Building and executing TI (TurboIntegrator) processes.
  • Managing feeders efficiently.

UI/UX:

  • Designing intuitive PAW books and sheets.
  • Using widgets, tabs, selectors, and quick reports.
  • Best practices for layout, formatting, and usability.

Security:

  • Object security (cube, dimension, element, process, chore).
  • Cell-level security rules and application security.

Admin:

  • Backup and recovery of PAW books and assets.
  • Deployment and upgrade.

Others:

  • Python Scripting (Good to have).
  • Advance TI & Rule debugging.
  • Conditional Rule.
  • Feeder optimization.
  • Debugging feeders.
