About the Team: The Business Development and Partnerships teams at Shopee are dynamic and energetic. The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the top e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices. Job Description: • Analyse industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to uncover whitespace opportunities and build new competitive advantages. • Develop financial models and build business cases to evaluate trade-offs, assess risks, and support leadership in making data-driven decisions. • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance) to implement initiatives from ideation to execution. • Proactively identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot operational challenges, and iterate solutions to ensure successful delivery. • Define success metrics, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights and regular updates to senior management. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accountancy, or related fields. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (financial modelling, data analysis). • Structured thinking and problem-solving capabilities. • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence stakeholders. • Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
