Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

Our client is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team, supporting cloud infrastructure, managing Level 2 support, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working across cloud and infrastructure environments, and partnering closely with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for end users and manage escalations
• Oversee daily IT operations and ensure high system availability
• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, AKS, App Services, networking, storage, security)
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize workloads
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using tools such as Jenkins, PowerShell, and Azure CLI
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards (e.g. MAS TRM, PCI-DSS)

Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Microsoft Azure environments
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure App Services
• Azure networking (TCP/IP, subnetting, VNet peering, S2S & P2S VPN)
• Azure Gateway and Load Balancing
• Automation scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, YAML, etc.)
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and container technologies
• Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Dynatrace, Grafana, and PRTG
• Experience with Cloudflare (DNS & Web Application Firewall) is advantageous
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365

Qualifications & Certifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have:

• Azure certifications (Associate, DevOps Engineer, Architect, or Security)
• Additional certifications such as CISSP or GIAC are a plus
