We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Finance Supervisor / GL Lead to oversee the full General Ledger function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial controls, leading closing processes, and driving structured accounting operations.

💼 Key Responsibilities

📊 Financial Closing & Reporting

• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure accurate accruals, provisions, and cut-off
• Prepare management reports and audit schedules

📘 General Ledger Management

• Monitor GL postings and account classifications
• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies
• Review and clear suspense accounts
• Oversee fixed asset accounting

🛡 Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with SFRS / IFRS and internal policies
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents
• Support GST and corporate tax reporting

⚙️ Workflow & Process Improvement

• Develop and maintain structured month-end closing checklists
• Implement journal review and approval workflows
• Standardise reconciliation templates and timelines
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trails
• Monitor adherence to accounting processes and controls

👥 Team Leadership

• Supervise GL executives and accountants
• Provide technical guidance and review work quality (AP & AR teams)
• Allocate tasks and ensure deadlines are met
• Support team training and performance development

👤 Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy / Finance
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting / GL
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting standards
