Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Learning Intervention Specialist who can integrate seamlessly into our multidisciplinary team and make an immediate instructional impact. Reporting to the Manager for Education, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching children with learning difficulties, addressing both behavioural and academic needs, and delivering high-quality education aligned with the organisation’s philosophy, standards, and guidelines. Key Responsibilities • Programme Delivery & Implementation • Deliver educational programmes in accordance with the organisation’s philosophy, curriculum framework, and established guidelines. • Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring • Conduct periodic assessments to evaluate student progress and ensure alignment with agreed learning objectives. • Use assessment data to inform instructional planning and intervention strategies. • Professional Practice & Standards • Execute all teaching and related duties professionally and in compliance with organisational policies and ethical standards. • Feedback, Communication & Collaboration • Provide timely and constructive feedback to the Director for Education and parents regarding student progress, challenges, and learning outcomes. • Collaborate with management and colleagues to improve instructional practices and operational processes. • Teaching Materials & Lesson Documentation • Develop and customise teaching materials tailored to each student’s individual goals and learning needs. • Document lesson plans, teaching strategies, and student outcomes after each session. • Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) • Design, implement, and review Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for each student. • Ensure IEP goals are measurable, achievable, and reviewed regularly. • Documentation & Records Management • Maintain accurate, organised, and up-to-date documentation of all student-related records, assessments, and reports. Technical Skills & Core Competencies • Teaching & Behaviour Management • Demonstrated competence in implementing instructional and behavioural management strategies for children with learning difficulties. • Parent Engagement & Problem-Solving • Strong ability to communicate effectively with parents, address concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support the child’s development. • Application of Psychological and Educational Theories • Ability to apply relevant psychological and educational theories to practical teaching and intervention contexts. Qualifications & Experience • Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Special Education or a related field.
