Job Description

We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer (L1) to support day-to-day network monitoring and troubleshooting activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network devices, strong fundamentals in networking, and the ability to perform Level 1 remote troubleshooting in a fast-paced NOC environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Level 1 support for network-related incidents and service requests

  • Perform remote troubleshooting for network issues and escalate when required

  • Log in to Cisco and/or Juniper devices to perform basic checks and diagnostics

  • Monitor network performance, alerts, and alarms using NOC monitoring tools

  • Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware issues

  • Coordinate with internal teams or OEM vendors for unresolved hardware/network issues

  • Maintain accurate incident records, actions taken, and resolutions in ticketing systems

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and escalation matrices

Technical Skills & Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking devices

  • Ability to log in and perform L1 troubleshooting on network devices

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:

    • TCP/IP

    • DNS

    • DHCP

    • Routing & Switching basics

  • Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar environment

  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as:

    • SolarWinds

    • Nagios

    • PRTG

    • SecureCRT

    • PuTTY

  • Basic understanding of hardware troubleshooting and coordination with OEM vendors

  • Ability to work in shifts and handle multiple tickets simultaneously
