About The Opportunity 

Due to increasing business demands, we are looking for a mid-level product counsel (4-8 PQE) to supercharge our legal function by providing end-to-end legal support to the design of our wide array of digital infrastructure product offerings and also to the delivery of our enterprise-grade technology solutions (main areas include cloud resale & migration, application development, and staking).  

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain a wide range of commercial agreements relating to the Company’s Web3 products and infrastructure offerings, cloud services, and other general commercial matters.

• Work cross-functionally to identify, investigate and manage legal, contractual and other risks across the business.

• Provide proactive and practical advice on a variety of legal and operational issues, including those related to data privacy, intellectual property, termination rights, indemnity, limitation of liability, and overall industry practice.

• Act as the go-to person for the legal function and independently provide legal advice relating to the Company’s product offerings and fundraising activities, as well as handling all contracting needs.

• Abide by and help the business, finance, and operations teams in enforcing the prevailing contracting and compliance guidelines.

• Assist other members of the business in a variety of special projects as needed, such as compliance and security.

• Assist with managing external law firms across a variety of practice areas, while balancing cost and effectiveness in the delivery of legal services to our stakeholders.

• Contribute to the continued development and improvement of our data privacy and information security policies, practices, and procedures.

• Contribute to the continued development, improvement, and deployment of our legal operations tools.

Qualifications Possessed by the Ideal Candidate

• LL.B. or J.D. equivalent earned  in a Commonwealth jurisdiction, or in the U.S.

• Minimum 3 years of experience advising on technology (cloud and/or software development), fintech (banking and/or payments), and/or blockchain (staking, trading, and/or custody) transactions

• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, such as general services agreements, SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, data protection agreements, purchase orders, NDAs, novations, amendments, etc. is a must

• Solid understanding of the digital assets and Web3 space and related legal and regulatory issues in key jurisdictions globally

• Good understanding of data privacy and intellectual property laws is a major plus
