Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support day-to-day L2 network operations and participate in network deployment and enhancement projects. This role requires strong hands-on expertise across enterprise network technologies and the ability to operate effectively in a production-critical environment while supporting project rollouts and infrastructure improvements.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure network stability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations Support

  • Provide L2 network operations support, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution across LAN, WAN, and security infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure SLA compliance
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Support change, incident, and problem management processes in accordance with operational standards

Project Deployment & Implementation

  • Participate in network deployment and upgrade projects, including planning, implementation, and post-deployment support
  • Execute network configuration, testing, and migration activities for new and existing environments
  • Support technology refresh, expansion, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives
  • Work with vendors and project teams to deliver network solutions within agreed timelines

Technology & Platform Support

  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and firewalls
  • Support Huawei switches in enterprise environments
  • Manage and maintain Fortigate firewalls, including policy configuration and troubleshooting
  • Support Infoblox for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
  • Support F5 load balancers, including basic configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and operational reviews
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for network operations and service delivery

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in L2 network operations support
  • Proven experience supporting and deploying enterprise network infrastructure
  • Experience in both BAU support and project-based network implementation is required

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  1. Cisco switches and firewalls
  2. Huawei switches
  3. Fortigate firewalls
  4. Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
  5. F5 load balancers
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and network security principles
  • Experience working in high-availability, enterprise-scale environments

Soft Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment

Certifications (Nice to Have)

  • CCNA or CCNP
  • Fortinet NSE certification
  • Huawei network certifications

Preferred Profile

  • Experience supporting mission-critical or large enterprise environments
  • Exposure to regulated or SLA-driven environments
  • Willingness to support after-hours or standby rotations when required
