Job Description

Job Purpose

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial planning and analysis, sound internal controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

The role supports Management and the Board by providing timely financial insights, budgeting and forecasting, and cash flow management to enable informed business decision-making and sustainable business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the Company’s financial activities to ensure accurate financial records, effective financial processes, and compliance with established finance workflows.

  • Prepare, analyse, and review financial performance reports against budget and key business metrics.

  • Provide financial analysis and insights on profitability, cost management, and operational performance to support management decision-making.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management

  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts aligned with the Company’s operational and business requirements.

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.

  • Ensure timely billing and collections in accordance with agreed schedules.

  • Review vendor payment terms and cash outflows to support operational and cash flow requirements.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee the monthly financial closing process to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Ensure proper accounting treatment for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and depreciation in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Review accounting data and financial entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

Statutory Compliance & Audit

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant advisors to ensure compliance with statutory audit and tax reporting requirements.

  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and financial reports.

  • Monitor financial records and processes to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.

Internal Controls & Governance

  • Establish, review, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the integrity of the Company’s financial information.

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and financial control procedures in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Other Duties

  • Undertake additional finance-related tasks and special projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and corporate accounting practices.

  • Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors and tax consultants.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing accounting policies and internal controls.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications for financial analysis and reporting.
