Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, ensuring timely monthly closing, accurate financial reporting, ensuring cash flow management, and quarterly group consolidation. The role also leads, mentors, and develops a team of 6 finance staff while driving continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Monthly Closing

  •  Oversee monthly/quarterly entity closing.
  •  Ensure submission of management reports by the 15th of every month.
  •  Review journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and reconciliations.
  •  Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  •  Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and lawyers when required.

2. Group Reporting & Consolidation

  •  Prepare quarterly group consolidation.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  •  Prepare Group Cash Flow Report.
  •  Monitor cash positions, funding requirements, and liquidity planning.
  •  Oversee banking facilities, financing arrangements, and covenant compliance.
  •  Optimize working capital management.

4. Team Leadership & Supervision

  •  Lead and supervise a team of 6 Accounts Executives & Billing Officer.
  •  Review work output to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  •  Mentor and guide junior staff on quarterly closing and reporting requirements.
     Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
  •  Foster teamwork and accountability within the finance department.

5. Billing & AR/AP Oversight

  •  Oversee billing accuracy and timeliness.
  •  Monitor receivables aging and ensure e􀆯ective collection.
  •  Review AP processes to ensure proper controls and authorization.
  •  Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.

6. Process Improvement & Automation

  •  Identify and implement at least one process improvement or automation
  • initiative per quarter.
  •  Improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual work.
  •  Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
  •  Support system upgrades or ERP enhancements.

7. Compliance & Governance

  •  Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  •  Coordinate year-end audit and tax filing processes.
  •  Maintain proper documentation and financial controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  •  ACCA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  •  Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience
  •  At least 2–3 years in managerial or supervisory role
  •  Experience in group consolidation and multi-entity environment
  •  Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  •  Experience with accounting systems / ERP
  •  Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
