Job Description

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end implementation and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. Acting as the primary point of contact on-site and internally, the Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams (project sales, QS, product management, logistics, installation partners and customers), manages timelines, controls costs, resolves technical issues, and secures timely deliverables and payments.

Key Responsibilities

Project planning & mobilisation

·       Develop detailed project plans (scope, schedule, resources, milestones, deliverables) for each awarded project.

·       Coordinate site meetings, sample delivery, mock ups installation, technical diagrams and shop drawings.

·       Confirm installation programme and resource allocation with internal teams and external contractors/subcontractors.

Execution & site management

·       Act as the on‑site project lead: supervise installation teams, subcontractors and vendors; ensure work is executed per specifications and agreed programme.

·       Monitor daily/weekly progress and update schedules; proactively manage site logistics, access, and coordination with main contractors.

·       Ensure all materials, ironmongery, tools and test equipment are available and issued as required.

Team leadership & after‑sales coordination

·       Supervise the team: assign tasks, set priorities, coach and develop competencies, and conduct performance reviews.

·       Oversee post‑installation service activities including commissioning, site troubleshooting, warranty repairs, preventive maintenance and spare‑parts provisioning.

·       Ensure timely response to service requests and technical enquiries; set response and resolution SLAs and monitor team performance against them.

·       Coordinate technical escalation to Product Management or external vendors and ensure prompt resolution and customer communication.

Cost & contract control

·       Manage project budgets and cost control: forecast costs, approve site‑related expenditures within authority, and flag variances to management.

·       Administer contracts, change orders and variation claims in collaboration with Sales/Quantity Surveyor and Finance; prepare documentation for approvals.

·       Ensure timely invoicing and support collections by providing supporting documentation (completion certificates, handover documents, sign‑offs).

Quality, safety & compliance

·       Enforce quality control, workmanship standards and perform inspections until full completion.

·       Ensure compliance with site safety rules, company safety policies and statutory regulations.

·       Manage warranty handover, record defects, and coordinate corrective actions post‑installation.

Stakeholder management & communication

·       Serve as primary liaison with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, distributors and internal teams; maintain clear, timely communication on progress, risks and decisions.

·       Attend site coordination meetings, progress meetings and client walkthroughs; represent the company professionally.

·       Update CRM and project management systems with progress notes, milestones, issues and outcomes.

Risk management & problem resolution

·       Identify project risks (schedule, technical, resource, commercial) and implement mitigation plans; escalate critical issues promptly.

·       Troubleshoot technical and site issues with Project Sales, Product Management to find workable solutions without compromising quality or schedule.

Handover & close‑out

·       Prepare project close‑out documentation: as‑built records, warranties, operation manuals, test reports and client sign‑offs.

·       Conduct post‑project reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future project delivery and after‑sales support processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

·       Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related field.

·       Minimum 5 years’ experience managing installation or fit‑out projects in construction, building products, architectural hardware or related industries.

·       Proven track record delivering projects on time, within budget and to required quality standards in Singapore.

·       Experience supervising technical or service personnel and coordinating post‑installation support.

·       Strong understanding of construction site practices, contract administration, variation management and project documentation.

·       Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Navision) for project updates and reporting.

·       Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills; able to work with main contractors, subcontractors and clients.

·       Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

·       Willingness to visit sites frequently and work flexible hours as project demands require.

Preferred

·       Project management certification.

·       Experience with ironmongery/door hardware, architectural finishes or building fit‑out projects.

·       Knowledge of local regulations and tendering processes.
