Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review tenders and contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with project requirements.

  • Address contractual issues with relevant authorities and stakeholders as needed.

  • Chair contract meetings and manage contractual claims or disputes.

  • Attend meetings and support resolution of commercial and contractual matters.

  • Draft and serve notices related to variations, additional payments, and delays; follow up on cost and time claims.

  • Interpret contract obligations, responsibilities, and liabilities; provide guidance to the team.

  • Prepare and review outgoing correspondence to authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

  • Keep the Planning Manager updated on all contractual matters.

  • Prepare variation order submissions and final accounts; monitor timely submission of claims and receipt of valuation certificates.

  • Monitor and report on contract statuses.

  • Ensure contractual compliance and conformance.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Analyze contract requirements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Troubleshoot contract-related issues, including breaches.

  • Establish and maintain project variation control systems and manage negotiations in line with contract requirements.

  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Legal Studies, Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related discipline.

  • At least 8 - 10 years of relevant experience, preferably on infrastructure or commercial/ mixed-use projects.

  • Strong experience in commercial or mixed development projects and managing contractual matters.
