Responsibilities

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer working for a system integrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems for diverse clients. Your key areas of responsibility will include:

System Design and Architecture:

·        Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.

·        Develop comprehensive infrastructure solutions, including network, storage, and compute resources.

·        Create detailed design documents and architecture diagrams to guide implementation.

Implementation and Deployment:

·        Deploy and configure hardware and software components based on the design specifications.

·        Install and configure servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.

·        Ensure that installations are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.

System Administration and Maintenance:

·        Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

·        Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective measures.

·        Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity.

Network Management:

·        Design and implement secure and efficient network infrastructures.

·        Manage network configurations, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.

·        Troubleshoot network issues and ensure minimal downtime.

Security Management:

·        Implement and manage security measures to protect client systems from threats.

·        Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

·        Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

Client Support and Collaboration:

·        Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.

·        Collaborate with client IT teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of systems.

·        Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support client IT staff.

Project Management:

·        Manage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

·        Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.

·        Maintain project documentation and report on progress to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

·        Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

·        Identify opportunities for improving existing systems and processes.

Qualifications

Here are the key qualifications to look for:

1. Educational Qualifications:

· Minimum Diploma with Professional Certifications.

· Microsoft, VMware, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

·        - Client Interaction: Experience in working directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
