Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced technology team. You will be

responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps pipelines,

infrastructure-as-code, automation, observability, and reliability practices supporting our AWS

platforms.

This is a high-impact engineering role, ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about scalability, reliability, and engineering efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud, Platform & Infrastructure Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services

• Manage compute workloads using EC2, ECS, and Kubernetes (EKS)

• Support Linux servers across production and non-production environments

• Implement and manage AWS services including VPC, IAM, Security Groups, Load Balancers, and S3

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines

• Automate application and infrastructure deployments using Terraform (IaC)

• Partner with development teams to improve release velocity and deployment reliability

Observability & Reliability (CloudWatch + New Relic)

• Implement and enhance monitoring, observability, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch (Metrics, Logs,

Alarms, Dashboards) and New Relic (APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Logs, Dashboards, Alerts)

• Configure log collection, alert policies, and incident notifications

• Build actionable dashboards for application and infrastructure health

• Lead incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive actions

• Drive proactive reliability and performance improvements

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)

• Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash

• Standardize environments and enforce repeatable infrastructure deployments

Database & Platform Services

• Support and manage AWS database services including AWS RDS Oracle and Amazon Aurora

PostgreSQL• Assist with backups, monitoring, performance tuning, and upgrades

• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning

Security & Compliance

• Implement AWS security best practices including IAM least privilege, encryption, and secure networking

• Work with security teams on remediation and infrastructure hardening

Documentation & Operational Excellence

• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures

• Support complex production incidents and provide engineering-level resolution

• Drive continuous improvement across tooling, automation, monitoring, and reliability practices

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT / related field (or equivalent experience)

• 5+ years experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering / SRE

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, Aurora

• Strong experience with Terraform (IaC)

• Experience with Bitbucket repositories and Bitbucket Pipelines

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills

• Strong scripting skills in Python (Bash preferred)

• Strong experience with AWS CloudWatch and New Relic observability

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• Strong ownership mindset to support critical production incidents

Preferred / Certifications (Added Advantage)

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (strongly preferred)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate

• Kubernetes certifications: CKA / CKAD

• New Relic certification or strong hands-on APM/observability expertise

• Experience in fintech / payments / regulated environments (added advantage)
