Role: AI Automation Engineer

Description: Job Purpose

To plan, analyze, develop, and maintain automated workflows and business applications based on user requirements. This role focuses on leveraging n8n and AI to streamline business functions and provide support services to users encountering issues with automated solutions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality, complex automated workflows using the n8n platform

• Provide post-implementation maintenance and support for automation pipelines.

• Conduct technical feasibility studies, analyze requirement specifications, and collaborate with business units to design and architect automation solutions, including developing AI-driven proof of concepts.

• Document and update technical design specifications for all workflows.

• Prepare effort estimation and work breakdown structures to ensure compliance with project scope and deliverables.

• Ensure all automations comply with security, development, and quality standards.

• Identify and keep abreast of latest trends in Low-Code/No-Code and Generative AI technologies.

• Conduct or facilitate knowledge sharing on emerging automation tools and AI integration.

Requirements: • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.

• Relevant experience in application design and development, with a focus on at least 3 rounds of the SDLC in workflow automation.

• Proficiency in n8n orchestration and advanced JavaScript for custom logic within nodes.

• Experience with Cloud offerings and Azure hosting environments (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of API integration (REST) and handling data formats like JSON. • Familiarity with Azure OpenAI or other LLM services to enhance automation intelligence.

• Good knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle and MSSQL.

• Strong business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate complex requirements clearly.

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and users.

• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision. • Must be a good team player, proactive, a fast learner, and highly organized.

• Experience in the Higher Education industry is a bonus.
