Position Overview
AI Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to enhance precision manufacturing processes, improve quality control, and optimize operational performance.
The role supports digital transformation initiatives by integrating AI technologies into production, inspection, and maintenance systems within a high-accuracy engineering environment.
Job Responsibilities
AI & Machine Learning Development
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for manufacturing optimization
- Develop predictive maintenance models for CNC machines and precision equipment
- Build computer vision systems for automated defect detection and dimensional inspection
- Implement anomaly detection models for process monitoring and quality control
Data Management & System Integration
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from CNC machines, CMMs, sensors, MES, and ERP systems
- Develop data pipelines and dashboards for real-time analytics and decision support
- Integrate AI solutions with automation systems, IoT devices, and shopfloor platforms
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve model accuracy and robustness
Manufacturing & Process Optimization
- Support yield improvement and scrap reduction initiatives using data-driven insights
- Collaborate with Process Engineers to optimize machining parameters and cycle times
- Assist in digital twin and smart factory initiatives
- Apply statistical and AI methods to enhance process capability and repeatability
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in AI/ML development, preferably in manufacturing or precision engineering
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#
- Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Experience working with APIs and backend systems
- Solid understanding of: Model evaluation metrics, Feature engineering, Data preprocessing
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
