Job Description
[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Banking & Finance in the School of Business & Accountancy.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Develop and deliver curriculum (including online courses) and assessments for full-time and part-time courses for students and adult learners.
• Supervise student projects and internships with industry partners.
• Counsel and mentor students to support their learning and personal development, provide education and career guidance, and coach them for competitions.
• Undertake academic-related administration and committee work, support outreach activities and study trips, and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission.
• Plan, lead, manage and develop industry projects.
[What we are looking for]
• At least 3 years’ relevant industry experience. Prior teaching experience will be an advantage.
• A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and mature learners.
• Ability to use innovative teaching and learning strategies and a passion for working with and motivating learners.
• Working experience or competency in banking and/or finance and/or analytics, and/or sustainable finance and/or risk and compliance and/or wealth management.
• Competent to plan, develop and teach finance or finance-related modules and manage collaborative initiatives with industry partners.
• Ability to manage and support multiple projects independently as well as in a team setting.
