System Engineer – POS, Network & Infrastructure Support | Up to $4,000

Company Overview

Our client is a well-established organisation with multiple operational sites, seeking a hands-on System Engineer to support IT infrastructure, POS systems, and network operations to ensure business continuity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and ensure stability of POS systems, network infrastructure, and internal systems
• Perform Level 1 troubleshooting for IT hardware, systems, and operational issues
• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure optimal performance
• Ensure servers are updated with latest security patches and system upgrades
• Monitor system performance and execute patch management activities
• Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure as required
• Provide guidance to internal users on best practices for system and technology usage
• Support planning and implementation of new systems and technologies to meet business needs
• Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and users to resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, purchases, and leases

Requirements

• Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in IT support or system engineering
• Basic knowledge of networking (L1 support level)
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments
• Exposure to cloud technologies will be an advantage
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
