Senior DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure for our software applications on AWS. You’ll leverage modern DevOps tools and methodologies to automate, monitor, and optimize our systems, ensuring high availability, zero downtime, and seamless CI/CD workflows.

We utilize a wide range of technologies including Docker, Ansible, Vagrant, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS services like EC2, ECS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, and more. You’ll have the opportunity to work with these tools to continuously improve the speed, scalability, and efficiency of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Enhance and streamline CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems.
• Automate build, configuration, and deployment processes using modern DevOps tools.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive monitoring stack to proactively address performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on architectural decisions and optimize operations for millions of users.
• Maintain and troubleshoot various environments, ensuring continuous system uptime.
• Contribute to the development of customer-facing applications and services

Desired Skills Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Networking, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud computing.
• Strong knowledge of web application architecture and technologies (Monolithic, Microservices, RESTful API, SOAP, CDN, etc.).
• Proficiency with IaC tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in DevOps roles.
• Familiar with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
• Programming skills in at least one language (PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Bash, etc.).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins Pipelines, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and GitHub Actions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot large-scale cloud orchestration and resolve low-level Linux issues.
• Experience with monitoring and error tracking tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK/EFK, Sentry, NewRelic).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and standards (TCP, UDP, OSI Model).
• Familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Strong Git version control experience.
• DevOps mindset with a collaborative and problem-solving attitude.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, self-motivated, and proactive.

Big Plus

• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Relevant AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty).
• Python or Node.js development skills.
• Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., OWASP).
• Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• AWS certification.
