Senior DevOps/ Platform Engineer (Azure, SQL)

We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps/ Platform Engineer to take ownership of critical, SQL-centricplatforms running in an Azure cloud environment. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, database platforms, release engineering, and production support.

You will be responsible for designing, building, automating, and supporting highly available and secureplatforms that underpin data-intensive financial systems.

This is not a generic DevOps role—it requires someone comfortable operating in complex, regulated,production environments with a strong sense of ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end platform infrastructure and application environments
• Deploy, configure, and support applications in Microsoft Azure (IaaS and Infrastructure-as-Code)
• Administer and maintain MS SQL databases including SSIS and SSRS
• Build automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and environment configuration
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability using logging and monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, databases, and application layers
• Ensure platforms adhere to engineering, architectural, security, and enterprise standards
• Work independently as a subject matter expert in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Strong experience with MS SQL Server (SSIS/ SSRS)
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Salt
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Shell
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, release engineering, and DevOps practices
• Experience supporting production systems with monitoring and logging tools
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently with strong ownership and prioritization skills
