Our client is a well‑established A1main contractor with a strong track record of delivering large‑scale, complex projects across Singapore and the region. Known for its robust in‑house engineering capabilities and collaborative project delivery, the organisation is highly regarded for its technical excellence, buildability focus, and commitment to safety and quality.

As part of its continued expansion in mission‑critical developments, the organisation is strengthening its technical leadership to support Data Centre projects across Southeast Asia. It is currently seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead and oversee all Civil and Structural design activities across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design Management

  • Lead all Civil & Structural (C&S) design works for Data Centre projects from tender through to completion.
  • Manage and coordinate design consultants to deliver optimised, buildable solutions within budget and programme.
  • Oversee design schedules, shop drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.

Coordination& Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate design interfaces and approvals with clients, authorities, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with construction and commercial teams to resolve design issues and support site execution.
  • Manage technical queries, RFIs/RFAs, and provide technical support during tender and delivery phases.

Procurement, Quality & Compliance

  • Review technical specifications and submissions from consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, codes, safety standards, and data centre–specific design criteria.
  • Drive design best practices and continuous improvement across projects.

People& Client Leadership

  • Lead and develop technical teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and a solutions‑focused approach.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university endorsed by the Professional Engineers Board.
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, with proven delivery of large-scale, complex construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of C&S design principles, authority submission processes, and construction methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience delivering Data Centre projects is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia when needed.
