Xceptor Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Xceptor Developer to design,develop, and support automation workflows using the Xceptor platform acrossOperations, Finance, and Capital Markets functions within OCBC Bank.

The role will focus on data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, andexception management for trade processing, payments, and regulatory reportingin a highly controlled and audit-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Xceptor workflows(Jobs, Imports, Exports, Rules, Validations, Dashboards)
• Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines frommultiple sources (Excel, CSV, XML, databases, internal systems)
• Implement data transformation, enrichment, andvalidation logic within Xceptor
• Configure and manage exception handling,reconciliation logic, and operational controls
• Develop integrations between Xceptor andinternal systems (e.g., Murex, core banking, finance and reporting systems)
• Automate manual processes across trade lifecycleprocessing, payments and settlements, and regulatory and financial reporting
• Support UAT cycles, production releases, andpost-implementation validation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, auditstandards, and MAS regulatory requirements
• Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, andchange management artefacts
• Work closely with Business, Operations, Finance,and Technology teams to deliver solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Xceptordevelopment and configuration
• Strong understanding of Xceptor components:Jobs, Tasks, Rules, Validations, Dashboards, Exception Queues
• Strong understanding of data transformation, validation frameworks, and ETL concepts
• Proficiency in SQL (data querying, joins, performance tuning)
• Experience with scripting (e.g., VBScript or equivalent)
• Experience handling structured and semi-structured data (Excel, CSV, XML, JSON)
• Strong knowledge of file-based integrations and database-driven workflows
• Experience in reconciliation and exception management processes
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in production environments
